Boris Kurbanov vs Melor Dilbazi

Boxing Daily Report from the Apple Pie Boxing promoted show at Humo Ice Dome, Toshkent,  taking place on 09/06/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uzbekistan Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Boris Kurbanov (14(10) - 0) who hails from Toshkent, Uzbekistan and Melor Dilbazi(25 - 4(1)) from Toshkent, Uzbekistan.  Kurbanov weighed in at 140 pounds, while Dilbazi weighed in at 139 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Bayram Mattar, and the three ringside judges are Qalib Habib, Melor Baighanoff and Muntazir Agakhanov.  

Round 1: 

Kurbanov is looking to close the distance and lands a firm right hook.  
Dilbazi is on target with a right uppercut.

Kurbanov slams a spiteful left hook into Dilbazi's liver.  DILBAZI IS HURT!  
Kurbanov senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Kurbanov lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND KNOCKS DILBAZI DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Dilbazi now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Dilbazi throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Dilbazi steps away from his opponent.  Kurbanov SLAMS a nasty cross into his opponents face.  DILBAZI IS HURT!  Dilbazi almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Dilbazi walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Kurbanov attempts to land a cross, but Dilbazi sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Dilbazi is on target with a jab.  
Kurbanov is looking to close the distance.  Dilbazi drives a right hook into Kurbanov's ribs.  Kurbanov clinches his opponent.  Kurbanov is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Kurbanov about fouling.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Dilbazi's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Kurbanov pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.

Kurbanov gets on the inside and lands a FEARSOME left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE DILBAZI WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Kurbanov clinches his opponent.  Dilbazi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Dilbazi and breaks the clinch.  Dilbazi quickly recovers. 
Kurbanov lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Dilbazi recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Kurbanov lands a solid cross.  
Kurbanov is looking to close the distance.  Kurbanov pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a firm right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Kurbanov is on target with a firm left hook.  
Dilbazi lands a left uppercut.  Kurbanov clinches his opponent.  Dilbazi is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Dilbazi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Dilbazi throws a right hook, but Kurbanov holds on to his opponent.  Kurbanov leans on his opponent using all his weight. Kurbanov pushes his forearm into Dilbazi's face.  The referee warns Kurbanov and breaks the clinch.  
Kurbanov hits home with a stinging cross.  
Kurbanov lands with a stinging jab.  
Dilbazi tries to keep the action at long range.  Kurbanov is on target with a hard jab.  
Dilbazi sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Kurbanov lands a left hook, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Dilbazi is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Kurbanov hits home with a sharp overhand right.  
Dilbazi pivots from in front of his opponent.  Kurbanov lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Kurbanov steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND SENDS DILBAZI SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Kurbanov thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Dilbazi away.  Kurbanov lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS DILBAZI DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Kurbanov lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS DILBAZI TO THE CANVAS!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Dilbazi can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Kurbanov!
