Hugh Young vs Vincent Lawther

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Vector Arena, Auckland,  taking place on 04/05/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Hugh Young (4 - 0) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Vincent Lawther(4 - 4) from Waitakere, New Zealand.  Both Young and Lawther weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kahorere Hakaipari, and the three ringside judges are Henry Ngahoro, Rob Horsburgh and Dominic Erwin.  

Round 1:

Young is looking to close the distance and walks Lawther down, trapping him in a corner.  Young pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Young is on target with a right uppercut to Lawther's ribcage.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Lawther dabs at his face checking for damage.
