David Elrick vs Sid Goldring

Boxing Daily Report from the Museli Promotions promoted show at Wichita Mortland, Wichita,  taking place on 04/05/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Kansas Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Elrick (8 - 7) who hails from Overland Park, USA and Sid Goldring(13 - 20(3) - 3) from Wichita, USA.  Both Elrick and Goldring weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Darby, and the three ringside judges are David Edmison, Max Cadden and Davie Whitted.  

Round 1: 

Elrick switches the action to the outside.  Goldring connects with an overhand left.  
Goldring advances into close range.  Elrick digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Goldring advances into close range.  Elrick lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Elrick is looking to keep his distance and connects with an overhand right.  
Goldring is looking to close the distance and forces Elrick to retreat into the corner.  Goldring hits home with a left uppercut.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Elrick dabs at his face checking for damage.  Elrick has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

Elrick tries to keep the action at long range and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.
