Tobias Mbiuki vs Adam Birdi

Boxing Daily Report from the Ndovi Promotions promoted show at Nairobi Ammar, Nairobi,  taking place on 26/04/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Nairobi Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Tobias Mbiuki (14 - 15(1) - 5) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Adam Birdi(8 - 22 - 7) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Both Mbiuki and Birdi weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Scott Merande, and the three ringside judges are Duncan Wakihuri, Chris Birir and Rashid Salih.  

Round 1: 

Mbiuki hits home with a right hook.  
Mbiuki is looking to close the distance and throws a right uppercut, but Birdi holds on to his opponent.  Mbiuki leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Birdi tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Mbiuki behind the head. Birdi pushes his forearm into Mbiuki's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Birdi about fouling.  
Mbiuki closes the distance.  Birdi throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Birdi ties up his opponent.  Mbiuki uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Birdi behind the head. 
Mbiuki stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Birdi attempts to land a jab, but Mbiuki sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.
