Onofre Fava vs Reyes Alva

Boxing Daily Report from the Nyauza Promotions promoted show at Salvador Cirino, Salvador,  taking place on 17/04/2035:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Brazil-Bahia Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Onofre Fava (11 - 18(1) - 8) who hails from Salvador, Brazil and Reyes Alva(27(8) - 8(1) - 2) from Salvador, Brazil.  Both Fava and Alva weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Juan Maria, and the three ringside judges are Urvano Raposo, Oro Matias and Carlos Gago.  

Round 1: 

Alva lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Alva lands a left hook.  
Alva closes the distance and is on target with a right hook to Fava's body.

Alva lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Alva holds on to his opponent.  Alva leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Alva pushes his forearm into Fava's face.  The ref breaks Alva's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
