Iyas Goumri vs Amrou Namli

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Morocco-Meknes-Tafilalet promoted show at Meknes Jettou, Meknes,  taking place on 03/03/2035:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Morocco-Meknes-Tafilalet Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SNRT, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Iyas Goumri (11(9) - 2(1)) who hails from Errachidia, Morocco and Amrou Namli(9 - 12 - 5) from Meknes, Morocco.  Both Goumri and Namli weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Amrane Benazzi, and the three ringside judges are Bandar Attik, Moneeb Laabi and Tazim Regragui.  

Round 1: 

Goumri is on target with a left hook to Namli's body.  
Goumri connects with a left hook.  
Goumri is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Goumri clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Goumri pushes his forearm into Namli's face.  The referee warns Goumri and breaks the clinch.  
Namli gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but Goumri holds on to his opponent.  Goumri is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Goumri's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Goumri lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Goumri lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Goumri ties up his opponent.  Goumri leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Goumri manouvers Namli onto the ropes.  Goumri digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Goumri lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Goumri lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Goumri lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Goumri hits home with a left uppercut.  
Goumri lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Goumri lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Namli closes the distance.  Goumri lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Goumri lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Namli almost instantly recovers. 
Namli advances into close range.  Goumri lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Goumri steps inside and lands a solid right hook.  
Namli throws a right hook, but Goumri holds on to his opponent.  Goumri leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Goumri steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Goumri lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Goumri senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Goumri lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body, DROPPING NAMLI TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Namli now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Namli's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Namli steps inside.  Goumri lands a double right hook to his opponents head, KNOCKING NAMLI DOWN!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Goumri!
