George Powles vs Gianfranco Quintiliani

Boxing Daily Report from the ADR Boxing promoted show at Robina Stadium, Gold Coast,  taking place on 01/04/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Oceania Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are George Powles (32(25) - 3(3) - 1) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Gianfranco Quintiliani(25(12) - 13(10)) from Newcastle, Australia.  Both Powles and Quintiliani weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Scott Martin, and the three ringside judges are Oliver Mullane, Johnny Omans and Joey Kindrick.  

Round 1: 

Quintiliani is looking to close the distance.  Powles lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Quintiliani drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Powles lands a cross to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Quintiliani tries to land a jab, but Powles blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Quintiliani gets on the inside.  Powles drives a right hook into Quintiliani's body.  
Powles tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Powles tries to keep the action at long range and lands an overhand left to the head, an overhand right to the head and a cross to the body.  
Quintiliani is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Powles parries the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Powles lands a jab to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Powles dabs at his face checking for damage.  Powles has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

Quintiliani quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Powles's body.  
Powles lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Quintiliani steps inside.  Powles lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Powles steps to the outside and attempts to land a cross, but Quintiliani dodges the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Quintiliani is looking to close the distance.  Powles lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Quintiliani almost instantly gets his legs back.

Quintiliani tries to land an overhand right, but Powles slips the shot and counters with a VICIOUS right uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE QUINTILIANI WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Quintiliani quickly recovers. 
Quintiliani steps inside and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.
