LeBron Appiah vs Umi Boakye

Boxing Daily Report from the Lamptey Promotions promoted show at Accra Boakye, Accra,  taking place on 23/02/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ghana-Greater Accra Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are LeBron Appiah (7 - 6(2) - 3) who hails from Accra, Ghana and Umi Boakye(10 - 13 - 5) from Achiaman, Ghana.  Appiah weighed in at 146 pounds and 4 ounces, while Boakye weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael Amodako, and the three ringside judges are Noel Agbo, Mark Berko and Sammy Bamfokwakye.  

Round 1: 

Appiah switches the action to the outside.  Boakye hits home with a cross.  
Appiah is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Boakye tries to land a jab, but Appiah parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Boakye closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Boakye is on target with a right hook to Appiah's body.  
Appiah connects with a left hook.  
Appiah attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Boakye time to recover.  
Boakye lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Boakye walks Appiah down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Appiah is on target with a right hook.  
Appiah lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Appiah's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Boakye's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.
