James Tyrie vs John Liddell

Boxing Daily Report from the Hennessy Boxing promoted show at Melbourne Stobie, Melbourne,  taking place on 18/10/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Tyrie (8(4) - 0) who hails from Watford, UK and John Liddell(2 - 3(1) - 1) from Brisbane, Australia.  Both Tyrie and Liddell weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Callum Mairs, and the three ringside judges are Euan Kier, Malcolm Hanken and Jack Quay.  

Round 1: 

Tyrie steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Tyrie ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Tyrie pushes his forearm into Liddell's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Tyrie hits the target with a stinging jab.  
Tyrie closes the distance and lands a stinging right hook.  
Tyrie steps inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Tyrie walks Liddell down, trapping him on the ropes.  Liddell throws a left hook, but Tyrie holds on to his opponent.  Tyrie pushes his forearm into Liddell's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Tyrie to stop fouling.  
Tyrie lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Tyrie holds on to his opponent.  Tyrie leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Tyrie lands a straight 1 - 2.  Tyrie throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Tyrie is looking to close the distance and EXPLODES a big left hook into his opponents face.  LIDDELL IS HURT!  Liddell almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Liddell is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Tyrie lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Tyrie manages to force Liddell into the corner.  Tyrie lands a MASSIVE left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE LIDDELL WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Tyrie knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Tyrie lands a BRUTAL right hook.  LIDDELL HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Liddell now seems to have got his legs back.  
Tyrie steps to the outside and lands two overhand rights followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Liddell recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Tyrie hits home with a firm overhand left.  
Tyrie lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Tyrie is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Liddell almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Tyrie feints a left hook, and then hits home with a firm cross.  
Liddell tries to step out of his opponents range.  Tyrie lands a solid cross.  
Tyrie lands a jab followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Tyrie tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a stinging jab.  
Tyrie steps inside.  Tyrie pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Tyrie advances into close range and walks Liddell down, trapping him on the ropes.  Tyrie lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Tyrie lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Tyrie digs in a left hook to Liddell's body.  
Liddell throws a left hook, but Tyrie ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Liddell's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Liddell's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Liddell's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Liddell tries to step out of his opponents range.  Tyrie lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Liddell throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Tyrie gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to Liddell's body.  
Tyrie tries to land a left hook, but Liddell slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Tyrie steps inside and lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Liddell is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Tyrie lands a straight 1 - 2.  He follows up the attack and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Tyrie advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  
Tyrie pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a sharp left uppercut.  
Tyrie steps to the outside and lands a stinging jab.  
Tyrie is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head, AND SENDS LIDDELL TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Liddell cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Tyrie!
