Joshua Balderston vs James Barr

Boxing Daily Report from the Zulu Promotions promoted show at Henrico Theater, Richmond,  taking place on 10/09/2034:

Clearly Zulu Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joshua Balderston (17(13) - 0) who hails from Albuquerque, USA and James Barr(1 - 3) from Los Angeles, USA.  Balderston weighed in at 134 pounds and 12 ounces, while Barr weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Matt Rhydderch, and the three ringside judges are Zachary Davis, Sam Cowper and Waleed Mady.  

Round 1: 

Balderston steps away from his opponent.  Balderston feints a left hook, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Balderston lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Barr steps inside.  Balderston lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Balderston connects with a sharp left hook.  Balderston ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Balderston pushes his forearm into Barr's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Balderston about fouling.  
Balderston steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Balderston lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Balderston sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Barr attempts to land an overhand left, but Balderston sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Balderston finds the target with a jab.  
Balderston is on target with a jab.  
Balderston steps away from his opponent.  Barr throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Barr advances into close range.  Balderston pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Barr forces Balderston to retreat into the corner.  Balderston lands with a solid jab.  
Balderston tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross.  
Balderston lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Balderston lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Balderston feints a left, and then lands a spiteful jab.  
Barr is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but Balderston ties up his opponent.  Balderston is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Balderston's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Balderston steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Barr steps inside.  Balderston lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Balderston clinches his opponent.  Balderston tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Barr behind the head. 
Barr walks Balderston down, trapping him on the ropes.  Barr quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Barr throws a left hook, but Balderston holds on to his opponent.  Balderston uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Barr's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Balderston to stop fouling.  
Balderston lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Barr's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Barr's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Barr gets on the inside and throws a right uppercut, but Balderston ties up his opponent.  Barr pushes his forearm into Balderston's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Balderston lands an overhand right followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Barr quickly recovers. 
Balderston lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Balderston lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Balderston tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a firm overhand right.  
Balderston lands a cross, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Barr almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Balderston lands a ramrod jab.  
Balderston feints a left hook, and then lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Balderston lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Barr is on target with a left hook.  
Barr gets on the inside.  Balderston is on target with a sharp left hook.

Barr closes the distance.  Balderston lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Barr manouvers Balderston onto the ropes.  Barr throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Balderston is on target with a left hook.  
Barr pivots from in front of his opponent.  Barr throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Barr advances into close range.  Balderston drives a stinging left uppercut into his opponents ribs.

Balderston switches the action to the outside and lands two jabs followed by an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Balderston tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Barr closes the distance.  Barr sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Barr throws a left hook, but Balderston ties up his opponent.  Balderston leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Balderston is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Balderston steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Balderston feints a cross, and then lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Balderston pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Balderston pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Balderston switches the action to the outside and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.

Barr manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  The right shot from Balderston could be enough to force the stoppage!  Balderston connects with a VICIOUS left uppercut.  BARR IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  
Barr now seems to have got his legs back.  
Balderston lands an overhand left followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Barr advances into close range and is on target with a right hook to Balderston's ribs.  
Balderston lands a cross.  
Balderston lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Balderston finds the target with a hard jab.  
Balderston steps to the outside and EXPLODES a VICIOUS cross into his opponents face.  BARR IS HURT!  
Some sustained pressure from Balderston could be enough to finish Barr!  Balderston lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head, AND BARR IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Balderston!
