John Briar vs Jordan Steven

Boxing Daily Report from the Ravens promoted show at Beamers Nightclub, Dallas,  taking place on 02/09/2034:

Clearly Ravens have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Briar (16(4) - 3) who hails from Stockton, USA and Jordan Steven(13 - 6(1) - 4) from New York City, USA.  Briar weighed in at 231 pounds and 4 ounces, while Steven weighed in at 244 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Stuart Ferrera, and the three ringside judges are Paul Mings, Leon Tarbert and Ricky Cowie.  

Round 1: 

Briar lands with a stiff jab.  
Steven steps inside.  Briar throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Briar dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Briar.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Steven's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Steven's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Steven's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Steven's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
