David Martie vs Mark Faulds

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Australia-New South Wales promoted show at Luna Park Big Top, Sydney,  taking place on 12/08/2034:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Martie (13(8) - 0 - 1(NC)) who hails from Townsville, Australia and Mark Faulds(5 - 5(1) - 2) from Melbourne, Australia.  Martie weighed in at 146 pounds and 15 ounces, while Faulds weighed in at 147 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Robert Callis, and the three ringside judges are George Colden, Richard Bean and Yasin Younan.  

Round 1: 

Martie advances into close range.  Faulds sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Martie lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Martie clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Martie pushes his forearm into Faulds's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Martie hits home with a right hook.  
Martie forces Faulds to retreat into a corner.  Martie sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a firm right hook to Faulds's ribs.  
Martie drives a solid right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Martie is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Martie holds on to his opponent.  Martie leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Faulds quickly recovers. 
Martie closes the distance and hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Faulds advances into close range.  Martie lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Martie lands a left hook.  Martie ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Martie pushes his forearm into Faulds's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Faulds steps inside and throws a left hook, but Martie clinches his opponent.  Martie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Faulds tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Martie advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head, AND KNOCKS FAULDS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Martie ties up his opponent.  Martie leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Martie pushes his forearm into Faulds's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Martie.  Faulds almost instantly recovers. 
Martie walks Faulds onto the ropes.  Martie lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Martie digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Martie lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Martie ties up his opponent.  Martie leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Martie hits home with a solid cross.  
Martie lands a stinging jab.  
Martie advances into close range and lands a powerful left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE FAULDS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Faulds throws a left uppercut, but Martie ties up his opponent.  Martie leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  Faulds now seems to have his senses back.  
Martie advances into close range and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Martie lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Faulds's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Faulds's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Faulds's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Martie is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Martie hits home with a left hook.  
Martie lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Martie lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Martie closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Martie hits home with a firm right hook.  
Martie lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Martie tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.

Martie gets on the inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Martie lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head, AND DROPS FAULDS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Faulds quickly recovers. 
Martie hits home with a cross.  
Faulds walks Martie onto the ropes.  Faulds hits home with a left hook.  
Martie steps inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Martie lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Martie walks Faulds down, trapping him in a corner.  Martie is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Martie gets on the inside and is on target with a firm left hook.  
Martie lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Martie is looking to close the distance and is on target with a SAVAGE right hook.  FAULDS IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  THE COUNT REACHES 10, BUT FAULDS IS UNABLE TO GET UP!  The winner by KO is Martie!
