Scott Brewster vs Paul Merricks

Boxing Daily Report from the Najjemba Promotions promoted show at Borko Jakovljevic Gym, Durham,  taking place on 05/08/2034:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-North Carolina Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Scott Brewster (6 - 11(2)) who hails from Charlotte, USA and Paul Merricks(15 - 20(5) - 4) from Charlotte, USA.  Both Brewster and Merricks weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Gath, and the three ringside judges are Richard Davies, John MacNaughton and Mark Baxa.  

Round 1: 

Brewster lands a left hook.  
Brewster hits home with a left hook.  
Brewster lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Brewster steps to the outside.  Merricks sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Merricks tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Brewster connects with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Brewster's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Merricks's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.
