Aaron Stockard vs Edward Shives

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas,  taking place on 14/08/2034:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Aaron Stockard (2 - 0) who hails from Toronto, Canada and Edward Shives(1 - 0) from Bridgeport, USA.  Stockard weighed in at 108 pounds, while Shives weighed in at 107 pounds And 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mike Faulkner, and the three ringside judges are Amon Gibson, Mark Hasson and Ollie Latta.  

Round 1: 

Stockard advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Stockard is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Stockard contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Shives attempts to land a jab, but Stockard slips the shot and counters with a right hook to Shives's ribcage.  
Stockard lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Stockard sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a sharp right hook.  
Stockard forces Shives to back into the ropes.  Stockard drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Stockard lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Shives advances into close range.  Stockard lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Stockard lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Stockard advances into close range.  Stockard sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Stockard lands a sharp left hook.  
Stockard throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Shives hits home with a cross.  
Stockard gets on the inside.  Stockard pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a right hook.

Shives gets on the inside.  Stockard sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Shives's body.  
Shives attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Stockard time to recover.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Shives's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Shives's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Stockard steps to the outside and drives a stinging jab into his opponents face.  
Stockard is looking to close the distance and hits home with a right hook.  Stockard holds on to his opponent.  Stockard uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Shives behind the head. 
Stockard lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Stockard steps inside and is on target with a left hook.  Stockard ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Stockard pushes his forearm into Shives's face.  The referee warns Stockard and breaks the clinch.  
Stockard lands a left hook.  
Stockard pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Stockard feints a right hook, and then is on target with a left hook.  
Stockard closes the distance and digs in a left hook to Shives's liver.  Stockard ties up his opponent.  Stockard leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Stockard's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Stockard wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Shives dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Stockard manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Stockard pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Stockard steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Stockard lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Stockard feints a right, and then lands a right hook.  
Stockard drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Shives throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Shives quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Stockard connects with a left hook.
