Odion Ekpeyong vs Julius Babalakin

Boxing Daily Report from the Frimpong Promotions promoted show at Ikechukwu Azutambata Gym, Port Harcourt,  taking place on 29/07/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Rivers State Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Odion Ekpeyong (18 - 14(2) - 3) who hails from Port Harcourt, Nigeria and Julius Babalakin(4 - 6(1) - 1) from Port Harcourt, Nigeria.  Ekpeyong weighed in at 135 pounds, while Babalakin weighed in at 134 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Izunna Abulu, and the three ringside judges are Izunna Abulu, Gbolahan Olatuga and Prince Nwapa.  

Round 1: 

Ekpeyong finds the target with a jab.  
Babalakin wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ekpeyong dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Ekpeyong.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
