Mark Nichol vs Paul Barmore

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-British Columbia promoted show at Surrey Erving, Surrey,  taking place on 23/07/2034:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Canada-British Columbia Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Nichol (12 - 20 - 4) who hails from Surrey, Canada and Paul Barmore(19 - 11 - 1) from Vancouver, Canada.  Both Nichol and Barmore weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael Crosbie, and the three ringside judges are Mike Messer, Kai Sundy and Mick Hanning.  

Round 1: 

Barmore advances into close range and digs in a right hook to Nichol's body.  Barmore holds on to his opponent.  Barmore is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Barmore is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Nichol steps to the outside and lands a cross.

It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Barmore.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
