Dillon Pont vs Floyd MacBride

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Brisbane,  taking place on 05/08/2034:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Dillon Pont (11(7) - 0) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Floyd MacBride(19(8) - 3(1)) from Sydney, Australia.  Pont weighed in at 126 pounds, while MacBride weighed in at 125 pounds And 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Nathan Skiver, and the three ringside judges are Hugh Durie, John Wark and Corey Pait.  

Round 1: 

MacBride digs in a right uppercut to Pont's body.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to MacBride.  That has caused a slight cut in the corner of the right eye.  .
