Rex Sim vs Corey Cavanah

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Stub Hub Center (Tennis), Los Angeles,  taking place on 21/07/2034:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Rex Sim (21(18) - 0 - 1(NC)) who hails from Yuma, USA and Corey Cavanah(14 - 15(2) - 3) from Chicago, USA.  Sim weighed in at 135 pounds, while Cavanah weighed in at 134 pounds And 2 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Richie Burnes, and the three ringside judges are Mark Pizarro, Ben Banos and Robert Rendall.  

Round 1: 

Sim advances into close range and is on target with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sim lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sim steps inside and digs in a stinging right uppercut to Cavanah's body.  
Sim lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Sim ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Sim pushes his forearm into Cavanah's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sim.  
Sim forces Cavanah to back into the corner.  Sim lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Sim clinches his opponent.  Sim is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Sim's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Sim sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Cavanah throws a left uppercut, but Sim ties up his opponent.  Sim tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Cavanah behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sim digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents liver.  
Sim lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sim lands a left uppercut.  
Sim gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Sim ties up his opponent.  Sim leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Some sustained pressure from Sim could be enough to finish Cavanah!  Sim lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS CAVANAH TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  It looks like Cavanah has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Sim lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Sim closes the distance and digs in a firm left uppercut to Cavanah's ribs.  
Sim is on target with a right hook to Cavanah's ribs.  
Sim digs in a sharp right hook to Cavanah's body.  
Sim lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sim sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a solid cross.  
Cavanah walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Cavanah sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Sim is looking to close the distance.  Sim quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sim quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Sim lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Sim connects with a firm right hook.  
Sim digs in a right hook to Cavanah's body.  
Sim feints a jab, and then lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cavanah's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate. Sim stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Sim lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND CAVANAH IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  
Sim hits home with a sharp cross.  Cavanah now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Sim gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook.  
Sim lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Sim walks his opponent into the corner.  Sim lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sim digs in a right hook to Cavanah's body.  
Sim lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Cavanah throws a right hook, but Sim holds on to his opponent.  Sim leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Cavanah tries to keep the action at long range and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Sim steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Cavanah in a corner.  Sim digs in a right hook to Cavanah's body.
