Alvino Sotelo vs Diego Viveros

Boxing Daily Report from the Glove Shack promoted show at Churchill Downs, Louisville,  taking place on 22/07/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on HBO, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alvino Sotelo (25(18) - 1) who hails from Panama City, Panama and Diego Viveros(9 - 10(2) - 1) from San Miguelito, Panama.  Both Sotelo and Viveros weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Patrick Carnegie, and the three ringside judges are Dave Stark, Dave Southerland and Ian Buist.  

Round 1: 

Sotelo steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  
Sotelo closes the distance.  Viveros throws a left hook, but Sotelo ties up his opponent.  Viveros pushes his forearm into Sotelo's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Viveros.  
Viveros sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Viveros lands a left hook.  Sotelo holds on to his opponent.  Sotelo pushes his forearm into Viveros's face.  The referee warns Sotelo and breaks the clinch.  
Sotelo is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Viveros strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Sotelo lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Sotelo ties up his opponent.  Sotelo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Viveros contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Sotelo drives a telling cross into Viveros's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE VIVEROS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Sotelo tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Sotelo steps inside.  Sotelo senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Viveros and just needs the right shot.  Sotelo crashes a mean right uppercut to Viveros's ribs.  VIVEROS IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Sotelo is on target with a telling right hook to his opponents body.  VIVEROS HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Viveros now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Sotelo digs in a right hook to Viveros's body.  
Viveros hits the target with a stinging jab.  
Sotelo closes the distance and digs in a solid right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Sotelo is on target with a solid left hook to Viveros's body.  Sotelo holds on to his opponent.  Viveros is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Sotelo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Sotelo throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Sotelo holds on to his opponent.  Viveros is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Sotelo lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Sotelo clinches his opponent.  Sotelo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sotelo.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Viveros has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Viveros sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Viveros tries to land a jab, but Sotelo sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Viveros is looking to keep his distance and finds the target with a jab.  Viveros tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Viveros is on target with a jab.  
Sotelo steps inside.  Viveros throws a left hook, but Sotelo clinches his opponent.  Sotelo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Sotelo about fouling.  
Sotelo walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Sotelo lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Sotelo holds on to his opponent.  Viveros is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Sotelo to stop holding.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Sotelo dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Sotelo is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Viveros's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Viveros's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Sotelo digs in a firm right hook to Viveros's ribs.  
Viveros attempts to land a right hook, but Sotelo slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Sotelo lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Sotelo lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Sotelo lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Viveros tries to keep the action at long range.  Sotelo throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.
