Shamus Power vs Rafael Bardales

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at Aviva Stadium, Dublin,  taking place on 22/07/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the WRBO Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on RET One, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Shamus Power (60(51) - 4(4) - 1) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Rafael Bardales(49(10) - 5(3) - 1) from Tallaght, Ireland.  Both Power and Bardales weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam McCaig, and the three ringside judges are Roy Clery, Joshua Higgins and Cillian Murphy.  

Round 1: 

Bardales sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Bardales is on target with a cross.  Bardales tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Power lands a stinging cross.  Power attempts to land a jab, but Bardales blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Bardales gets on the inside.  Power pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Power steps away from his opponent and hits home with a sharp overhand right.  
Bardales quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Bardales tries to land a cross, but Power sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Bardales steps inside and forces Power to back into the ropes.  Power hits home with a left hook.  
Power lands a MASSIVE right uppercut.  BARDALES WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Bardales almost instantly gets his legs back.

Power steps away from his opponent.  Bardales throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.

Power is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Power is on target with a FEROCIOUS left uppercut.  BARDALES IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  Bardales now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.

Bardales steps inside and walks Power onto the ropes.  Power lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Power pivots to the side of his opponent.  Power attempts to land a left hook, but Bardales sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Power lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two consecutive overhand lefts to his opponents head.  
Bardales advances into close range and digs in a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Power steps away from his opponent.  Bardales tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook.  
Bardales advances into close range.  Power is on target with a firm right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bardales's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Bardales's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Power lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Bardales advances into close range.  Power senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Bardales and just needs the right shot.  Power connects with a HUGE cross.  BARDALES IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Power tries to step out of his opponents range.  Power connects with a SAVAGE left hook.  BARDALES IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Power!
