Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Rogers Center, Toronto,  taking place on 03/08/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Long John Gurganus (30(23) - 2(1)) who hails from Markham, Canada and Obaid Wajdi(29(3) - 5(2) - 2) from Al Ain, UAE.  Both Gurganus and Wajdi weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dave Suit, and the three ringside judges are Denton Cadden, Dave Mollison and Sean Killin.  

Round 1: 

Wajdi closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Gurganus switches the action to the outside and is on target with a firm overhand right.  
Gurganus pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Wajdi manouvers Gurganus onto the ropes.  Gurganus lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.

Gurganus senses Wajdi is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Gurganus lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, KNOCKING WAJDI DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  Wajdi now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.
