Colville Gayet vs Davie Blackshaw

Boxing Daily Report from the Basemera Promotions promoted show at Montreal Gide, Montreal,  taking place on 21/06/2034:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Quebec Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Colville Gayet (7 - 5(1) - 1) who hails from Laval, Canada and Davie Blackshaw(6 - 25(1) - 7) from Montreal, Canada.  Both Gayet and Blackshaw weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jasper Kopa, and the three ringside judges are Carvell Brame, Carvell Brame and Gower Paille.  

Round 1: 

Blackshaw is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Gayet feints a jab, but Blackshaw does not fall for it and is on target with a left uppercut to Gayet's ribs.  
Gayet gets on the inside.  Blackshaw digs in a left hook to Gayet's body.  
Gayet closes the distance.  Blackshaw hits home with a right hook.  
Blackshaw tries to land a cross, but Gayet slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Gayet manages to force Blackshaw into a corner.  Gayet quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Gayet pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gayet's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Blackshaw's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.
