Fraser Laxa vs Chris Ballon

Boxing Daily Report from the Ringside Promotions promoted show at Fuzhou Gymnasium, Fuzhou,  taking place on 03/07/2034:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Fraser Laxa (9(8) - 0) who hails from Taguig, Philippines and Chris Ballon(4 - 2(1) - 2) from Davao City, Philippines.  Both Laxa and Ballon weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yuan Tsou, and the three ringside judges are Huang-fu Yow, Chen Ki and Shing Boh.  

Round 1: 

Laxa gets on the inside.  Ballon throws a left uppercut, but Laxa clinches his opponent.  Laxa is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Laxa lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Laxa clinches his opponent.  Laxa uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Ballon behind the head. The ref breaks Laxa's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Laxa contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Ballon tries to land a jab, but Laxa sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Laxa lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Laxa sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Laxa throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Laxa holds on to his opponent.  Ballon is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ballon about fouling.  
Laxa lands a jab.  
Laxa closes the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Laxa clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Laxa pushes his forearm into Ballon's face.  The referee warns Laxa and breaks the clinch.  
Laxa pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Ballon's ribs.  
Laxa pivots to the right of his opponent.  Laxa throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Laxa ties up his opponent.  Ballon uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Laxa behind the head. The ref breaks Laxa's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Laxa tries to step out of his opponents range.  Laxa feints a jab, tricking Ballon into throwing a left hook counter.  Laxa avoids the shot and counters with a cross.  
Laxa lands two straights to the body, and one to the head.  
Laxa walks Ballon down, trapping him in the red corner.  Laxa quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Laxa lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Laxa holds on to his opponent.  Laxa leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Laxa pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Laxa is looking to close the distance.  Laxa pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Ballon attempts to land a cross, but Laxa blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Laxa is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab to Ballon's body.  Laxa throws an overhand right, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Ballon pivots from in front of his opponent.  Ballon tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Laxa sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a solid right hook.  
Laxa manouvers his opponent into the red corner.  Laxa pivots to the side of his opponent.  Laxa lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Laxa clinches his opponent.  Laxa leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Laxa's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Laxa lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ballon's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Ballon's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Ballon steps inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left hook.

Ballon sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Laxa lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Laxa pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Laxa lands two right hook's to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.
