Ebi Mugabe vs Nathan Midzi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Zimbabwe-Harare promoted show at Harare Basketball Club, Harare,  taking place on 16/06/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Zimbabwe Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ebi Mugabe (12(9) - 4(1)) who hails from Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe and Nathan Midzi(12 - 1(1)) from Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe.  Mugabe weighed in at 239 pounds and 9 ounces, while Midzi weighed in at 247 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Malcolm Majange, and the three ringside judges are Makalo Ncube, Darryl Sibanda and Stuart Nhamoinesu.

Mugabe tries to step out of his opponents range and attempts to land a cross, but Midzi slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Midzi advances into close range and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.

Mugabe is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Mugabe drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Midzi is on target with a jab.  
Midzi drives a cross into Mugabe's body.  Midzi tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Midzi lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Mugabe lands a jab to the head, a left hook to the body and a cross to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Mugabe is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Mugabe lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  Midzi now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Midzi advances into close range.  Mugabe slams a hurtful left hook into Midzi's liver.  IT LOOKS LIKE MIDZI WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Midzi quickly recovers.

Midzi steps inside.  Mugabe lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Mugabe attempts to land a left hook, but Midzi blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Midzi gets on the inside.  Midzi sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Midzi throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Mugabe holds on to his opponent.  Mugabe leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Mugabe is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Mugabe feints a left hook, but Midzi ignores the feint and is on target with a cross.  
Midzi attempts to land a jab, but Mugabe sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Mugabe steps to the outside and lands a sharp cross to Midzi's body.  
Midzi advances into close range and throws a left uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Mugabe holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Mugabe pushes his forearm into Midzi's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Mugabe.  
Mugabe steps away from his opponent and hits home with a cross.

Midzi walks Mugabe down, trapping him on the ropes.  Mugabe drives a firm right hook into his opponents ribcage.

Mugabe EXPLODES a mean cross into his opponents face.  MIDZI HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 9.
