Edmund Mewies vs David Collins

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at Gore Gym, Boston,  taking place on 02/06/2034:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Edmund Mewies (4 - 0) who hails from Boston, USA and David Collins(1 - 1 - 1) from New York City, USA.  Both Mewies and Collins weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Smith, and the three ringside judges are Charles Keath, Bart McWethy and Owen Saunders.  

Round 1: 

Mewies advances into close range.  Collins throws a right hook, but Mewies holds on to his opponent.  Collins is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mewies lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Collins steps to the outside.  Mewies hits home with a cross.  
Collins pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a jab to Mewies's body.  
Mewies manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Mewies is on target with a cross.  
Mewies lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  He then lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Mewies steps inside and is on target with a right uppercut.  Mewies clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Mewies pushes his forearm into Collins's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mewies about fouling.  
Mewies sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a firm right uppercut.  
Mewies walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Mewies connects with a right uppercut.  
Mewies tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Collins throws a right uppercut, but Mewies clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Collins pushes his forearm into Mewies's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Mewies lands a left uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Collins attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Mewies time to recover.  
Mewies closes the distance.  Collins throws a right hook, but Mewies clinches his opponent.  Mewies is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Collins's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Collins's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Collins's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
