Patrick Speed vs Joel MacKay

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at Gore Gym, Boston,  taking place on 02/06/2034:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Patrick Speed (1(1) - 0) who hails from San Diego, USA and Joel MacKay(1 - 2) from Rochester, USA.  Speed weighed in at 146 pounds and 14 ounces, while MacKay weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Owen Saunders, and the three ringside judges are Mark Smith, Bart McWethy and Charles Keath.  

Round 1: 

Speed lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Speed attempts to land a jab, but MacKay slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Speed feints a left, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
MacKay lands a right hook.  
Speed is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a stinging jab.  
Speed connects with an overhand left.  
Speed lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Speed lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  He then lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.

Speed pivots to the side of his opponent.  Speed attempts to land a jab, but MacKay blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Speed switches the action to the outside and lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  He continues the combination and lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Speed advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Speed tries to keep the action at long range and lands a hard jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...MacKay's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  MacKay's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  MacKay's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
