Spencer Matheson vs Cole Arbuthnot

Boxing Daily Report from the Sarkodee Promotions promoted show at USA-Minnesota Gym, Minneapolis,  taking place on 04/06/2034:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Minnesota Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Spencer Matheson (18 - 8(2)) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and Cole Arbuthnot(9 - 11 - 7) from Minneapolis, USA.  Matheson weighed in at 134 pounds and 11 ounces, while Arbuthnot weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David Scholar, and the three ringside judges are Phil Bertel, Brad Dey and Ian Soderberg.  

Round 1: 

Matheson steps inside.  Matheson is on target with a sharp left hook to Arbuthnot's body.  Matheson ties up his opponent.  Matheson is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Matheson about fouling.  As Matheson tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Arbuthnot dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Matheson is looking to close the distance and manouvers Arbuthnot into the blue corner.  Arbuthnot throws a right hook, but Matheson ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Matheson pivots to the right of his opponent.  Arbuthnot lands a right uppercut.  
Matheson closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Matheson ties up his opponent.  Matheson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Matheson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Matheson lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Matheson holds on to his opponent.  Matheson hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Arbuthnot goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Matheson to the neutral corner.  He has a stern word with Arbuthnot and threatens a point deduction if continues to foul.  
Matheson lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Arbuthnot advances into close range.  Matheson lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Matheson advances into close range.  Matheson pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Matheson gets on the inside and connects with a left hook.  Matheson ties up his opponent.  Matheson leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Arbuthnot hits home with a left uppercut.  
Matheson steps inside.  Matheson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Matheson closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Matheson is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Arbuthnot throws a right hook, but Matheson ties up his opponent.  Matheson leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Matheson finds the target with a jab.  
Matheson closes the distance and connects with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Arbuthnot's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Arbuthnot's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Arbuthnot's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Matheson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Matheson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Matheson advances into close range and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Arbuthnot hits home with a right hook.  
Matheson lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Arbuthnot lands a right uppercut.  
Matheson is on target with a cross.  
Matheson steps inside and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Matheson is on target with a left hook to Arbuthnot's liver.  
Arbuthnot quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Matheson lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Matheson lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Matheson manouvers Arbuthnot into a corner.  Matheson lands a solid left uppercut.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref steps in and separates the two fighters to check for damage.  Its not looking good!  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  As less than 4 rounds have been completed its going to be a no-contest!
