Leon Bateman vs Mike Wadle

Boxing Daily Report from the No limit promoted show at Melbourne Watkins, Melbourne,  taking place on 03/06/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Oceania Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WIN, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are The Victorian Mauler Leon Bateman (19(10) - 5(1)) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Mike Wadle(25 - 9) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Both Bateman and Wadle weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Lewis, and the three ringside judges are Dom Clapperton, Arran Forbes and Sam Beatty.  

Round 1: 

Bateman advances into close range and connects with a right hook.  Bateman holds on to his opponent.  Bateman is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Bateman's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Wadle pivots to the right of his opponent.  Bateman lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Bateman holds on to his opponent.  Bateman pushes his forearm into Wadle's face.  The ref breaks Bateman's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Bateman gets on the inside and is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Bateman closes the distance.  Bateman pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Bateman walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Wadle throws a right hook, but Bateman holds on to his opponent.  Wadle is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Bateman pushes his forearm into Wadle's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Bateman to stop fouling.

Wadle switches the action to the outside and attempts to land an overhand left, but Bateman slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Wadle pivots to the right of his opponent.  Bateman digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Bateman forces Wadle to retreat onto the ropes.  Bateman lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Bateman sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a left hook into Wadle's liver.  
Bateman whips in a big left uppercut to Wadle's liver.  WADLE IS HURT!  
Bateman is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Bateman lands a right uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body, AND WADLE IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Wadle now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Bateman forces Wadle to retreat onto the ropes.  Wadle throws a right hook, but Bateman holds on to his opponent.  Bateman leans on his opponent using all his weight. Bateman is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Bateman about fouling.
