Thompson Bassey vs Richard Buraimoh

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Cross River State promoted show at Leighton Tombiri Gym, Calabar,  taking place on 31/05/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Cross River State Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Thompson Bassey (7 - 4 - 2) who hails from Ugep, Nigeria and Richard Buraimoh(14 - 11 - 3) from Ugep, Nigeria.  Both Bassey and Buraimoh weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Odion Aghahowa, and the three ringside judges are Kunle Feghabo, Odion Aghahowa and Atif Safar.  

Round 1: 

Bassey lands a cross.  
Buraimoh gets on the inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Bassey on the ropes.  Buraimoh pivots to the left of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Bassey's body.

Buraimoh advances into close range.  Bassey pivots to the left of his opponent.  Bassey throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Buraimoh's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Bassey's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Buraimoh's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.
