Chris Hewitson vs Matt Argyros

Boxing Daily Report from the James Saint-Claire promoted show at Reggio Calabria Club, Melbourne,  taking place on 27/05/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Hewitson (7(2) - 0) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Matt Argyros(1 - 8) from Sunshine Coast, Australia.  Both Hewitson and Argyros weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bruce Munhall, and the three ringside judges are Hugh Collins, Joey Mahtesyan and Aaron Yale.  

Round 1: 

Hewitson advances into close range.  Argyros tries to land a right hook, but Hewitson slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Hewitson closes the distance.  Argyros pivots from in front of his opponent.  Argyros throws a left hook, but Hewitson holds on to his opponent.  Hewitson leans on his opponent using all his weight. Hewitson is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Hewitson about fouling.

Hewitson advances into close range and connects with a stinging left hook.  
Hewitson lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Hewitson manouvers Argyros into the corner.  Hewitson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Hewitson pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Hewitson steps inside and drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.  
Hewitson connects with a left hook.  
Argyros is on target with a jab.  
Hewitson lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Hewitson manouvers Argyros into the corner.  Hewitson sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.

Hewitson tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Argyros behind the head. As Hewitson tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Argyros dabs at his face checking for damage.

Hewitson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Hewitson lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Hewitson ties up his opponent.  Hewitson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Hewitson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Argyros's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Argyros's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Argyros's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Argyros's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
