John Ryan vs James Pagan

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gold Coast,  taking place on 26/05/2034:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Australia-Queensland Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Ryan (25(2) - 16(2) - 3) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and James Pagan(9 - 6) from Sunshine Coast, Australia.  Ryan weighed in at 111 pounds and 11 ounces, while Pagan weighed in at 111 pounds and 2 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Seth Urbano, and the three ringside judges are Ian McAfee, Dave Antoni and Callum MacQueen.  

Round 1: 

Ryan hits the target with a stinging jab.  
Ryan advances into close range and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Ryan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Pagan attempts to land a left hook, but Ryan blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ryan walks Pagan down, trapping him on the ropes.  Ryan digs in a right uppercut to Pagan's body.  
Ryan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Ryan lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Ryan digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Ryan gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  Ryan clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Ryan pushes his forearm into Pagan's face.  The ref breaks Ryan's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Ryan gets on the inside and drives a right hook into Pagan's body.  
Pagan tries to step out of his opponents range.  Ryan feints a right hook, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Ryan advances into close range.  Ryan is on target with a right hook to Pagan's body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ryan dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Ryan gets on the inside and digs in a left uppercut to Pagan's liver.  
Ryan steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Pagan's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Pagan's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
