Dave Blackard vs Fraser Dargie

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Manitoba promoted show at Bradley Pearce Gym, Winnipeg,  taking place on 04/05/2034:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Canada-Manitoba Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dave Blackard (6 - 4 - 5) who hails from Winnipeg, Canada and Fraser Dargie(20 - 10(1) - 1) from Winnipeg, Canada.  Both Blackard and Dargie weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ian Fiddes, and the three ringside judges are Lee Beaumier, Steven Yale and Wayne Pique.  

Round 1: 

Dargie advances into close range.  Dargie retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Blackard is whaling away with hooks, but Dargie keeps his defence tight.  
Blackard steps inside and lands a left hook.  Blackard attempts to land a left hook, but Dargie blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Dargie is on target with a right hook to Blackard's body.  
Blackard feints a right hook, but Dargie is not fooled and responds with a right uppercut.  
Dargie lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Dargie closes the distance and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Dargie lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Blackard steps inside.  Dargie hits home with a right uppercut.

Dargie gets on the inside.  As Blackard tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Dargie has taken some damage there.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
Blackard steps inside and tries to land a left uppercut, but Dargie parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Dargie gets on the inside.  Blackard hits home with a right hook.
