David Rodden vs Bruce Kruis

Boxing Daily Report from the Steel City Boxing promoted show at Bob Carpenter Center, Philadelphia,  taking place on 15/05/2034:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are David Rodden (11(6) - 0) who hails from Bakersfield, USA and Bruce Kruis(31 - 10(2)) from Columbus, USA.  Both Rodden and Kruis weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Stuart Briar, and the three ringside judges are Theo Abbey, Malcolm Kuntzman and Cody Flett.  

Round 1: 

Rodden tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Rodden pivots to the left of his opponent and strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Rodden lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Rodden drives a firm right hook into his opponents ribs.  Rodden throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Kruis lands with a spiteful jab.  
Kruis is on target with a left hook.  
Rodden is looking to keep his distance and lands a ramrod jab.  
Rodden feints a jab, tricking Kruis into countering with a right hook.  Rodden springs the trap, countering with  a solid cross.  
Kruis advances into close range and attempts to land a left hook, but Rodden slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Rodden steps to the outside and finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Kruis throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Kruis gets on the inside.  Rodden drives a left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Rodden tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with a solid cross.  
Rodden steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand left to the head, a jab to the body and an overhand left to the head.  
Kruis steps inside.  Rodden digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Rodden sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kruis hits home with a left hook.

Rodden tries to step out of his opponents range.  Rodden quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Kruis closes the distance.  Kruis lands a left hook.  Rodden wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kruis dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Kruis advances into close range and manages to force Rodden onto the ropes.  Kruis connects with a right hook.  
Kruis is looking to close the distance and tries to land a right hook, but Rodden sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Rodden is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with a sharp overhand left.  
Kruis lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Kruis is on target with a right uppercut.  
Kruis throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Kruis closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Kruis attempts to land a right uppercut, but Rodden sidesteps and counters with a right hook.

Kruis gets on the inside.  Rodden senses Kruis is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Rodden crashes a nasty left hook to Kruis's body.  KRUIS IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Kruis now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Rodden strikes his opponents body with a jab.

Kruis gets on the inside.  Rodden lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND KRUIS IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.
