Matthew Morman vs Matt Stockard

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Manitoba promoted show at Lionel Beaubien Gym, Winnipeg,  taking place on 22/04/2034:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Canada-Manitoba Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Matthew Morman (10 - 7 - 4) who hails from Winnipeg, Canada and Matt Stockard(12(5) - 2) from Winnipeg, Canada.  Both Morman and Stockard weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Barrie, and the three ringside judges are Dave Cloy, Chris Kidd and Amon Badders.  

Round 1: 

Stockard closes the distance and connects with a stinging left hook.  
Morman is looking to keep his distance.  Stockard lands an overhand right.  
Stockard steps inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.

Stockard lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Stockard ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Stockard pushes his forearm into Morman's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Stockard about fouling.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Morman has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  Morman recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
