Nemesio Rapoza vs Jair Gama

Boxing Daily Report from the Nzeyi Promotions promoted show at Belo Horizonte Matias, Belo Horizonte,  taking place on 22/04/2034:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Brazil-Minas Gerais Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Esporte Interativo, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nemesio Rapoza (12 - 2) who hails from Belo Horizonte, Brazil and Jair Gama(9 - 8 - 2) from Belo Horizonte, Brazil.  Rapoza weighed in at 231 pounds And 9 ounces, while Gama weighed in at 247 pounds And 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Manny Henriques, and the three ringside judges are Venacio Parras, Alano Portanova and Ignado Barca.  

Round 1: 

Rapoza quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Rapoza pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Gama attempts to land a jab, but Rapoza blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Rapoza gets on the inside and lands a right hook.  
Rapoza walks Gama down, trapping him in a corner.  Rapoza lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Rapoza pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into Gama's ribs.  
Rapoza lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Gama switches the action to the outside and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Rapoza lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Rapoza closes the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Rapoza pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Rapoza is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Gama quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Rapoza lands with a solid jab.  
Rapoza wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gama dabs at his face checking for damage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gama's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Gama's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Gama tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land an overhand right, but Rapoza sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Rapoza gets on the inside.  Rapoza pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Gama.  That has caused swelling  around the left eye.  
Rapoza advances into close range and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Rapoza quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.

Rapoza sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  As Rapoza tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gama dabs at his face checking for damage.  Gama has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused bad damage to the nose.  
Rapoza digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Rapoza closes the distance and manages to force Gama onto the ropes.  Rapoza pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.
