Santiago Rivero vs John Hanton

Boxing Daily Report from the Pacific and Andean Promotions promoted show at Charles J. Riley School (Public School No. 9), Paterson,  taking place on 04/05/2034:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Santiago Rivero (1 - 0) who hails from Lima, Peru and John Hanton(1 - 1) from Jacksonville, USA.  Both Rivero and Hanton weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ewan McLoughlin, and the three ringside judges are Jamie Loudon, Valentino Brunelli and Sid Kellison.  

Round 1: 

Rivero closes the distance.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hanton dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Rivero gets on the inside and hits home with a right hook.

Rivero throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Rivero closes the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Hanton quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Rivero lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Rivero is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Rivero closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.

Rivero lands a right hook.  Rivero holds on to his opponent.  Rivero is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Rivero's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
