Joaquin Penaranda vs Vicente Cruz

Boxing Daily Report from the Siampangila Promotions promoted show at Baltasar Silvestre Gym, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat,  taking place on 02/04/2034:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Spain-Catalonia Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joaquin Penaranda (1 - 13(1) - 2) who hails from Barcelona, Spain and Vicente Cruz(23(4) - 0) from L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Spain.  Both Penaranda and Cruz weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Seferino Grajales, and the three ringside judges are Gervasio Uriarte, Carlos Mederos and Rodrigo Eva.  

Round 1: 

Penaranda tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a cross.

Penaranda is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Cruz digs in a right hook to Penaranda's body.
