Mick Maddex vs Peter Pherson

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Wellington promoted show at Wellington Nelson, Wellington,  taking place on 08/03/2034:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the New Zealand-Wellington Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mick Maddex (21 - 9(5)) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Peter Pherson(18(6) - 6(1)) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Both Maddex and Pherson weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Erorangi Muunu, and the three ringside judges are Geoff Symington, Declan Ngarara and Jonathan Laurie.  

Round 1: 

Pherson advances into close range.  Pherson sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Pherson attempts to land a left hook, but Maddex slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
