Jing Sam vs Yong Pi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI China-Sichuan promoted show at Yuan Chuang Gym, Nanchong,  taking place on 16/02/2034:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the China-Sichuan Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jing Sam (9 - 27(2) - 2) who hails from Nanchong, China and Yong Pi(8 - 6 - 1) from Nanchong, China.  Both Sam and Pi weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Liko Bu, and the three ringside judges are Huang-fu Geng, HuiK'o Soon and Bing Yu.  

Round 1: 

Pi switches the action to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Pi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a solid jab into his opponents face.  
Sam throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Sam hits home with a left hook.  
Pi is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Sam steps inside.  As Pi tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Sam dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Sam gets on the inside.  Pi connects with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sam's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Sam's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Pi's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Pi feints a right hook, and then hits home with a cross.  Pi tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Sam walks his opponent into the corner.  Pi is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.
