Olindo Pilar vs Juan Banos

Boxing Daily Report from the Acheampong Promotions promoted show at Santo Domingo de Guz Mancebo, Santo Domingo de Guzman,  taking place on 25/12/2033:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Dominican Republic-Distrito Nacional Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CERTV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Olindo Pilar (17 - 10(2) - 3) who hails from Santo Domingo de Guzman, Dominican Republic and Juan Banos(19(4) - 2(1)) from Santo Domingo de Guzman, Dominican Republic.  Pilar weighed in at 129 pounds and 2 ounces, while Banos weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tajo Verano, and the three ringside judges are Enzo Montes, Joaquin Bacallao and Joaquin Mena.  

Round 1: 

Banos steps inside and lands a left hook.  
Banos lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Banos forces Pilar to back into the red corner.  Banos lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Banos lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Banos tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Banos pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a sharp left hook.

Banos steps inside.  Banos sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Pilar tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Banos walks Pilar down, trapping him in the corner.  Banos pivots from in front of his opponent.  Banos is on target with a sharp right hook.  Banos ties up his opponent.  Banos leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Banos is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Banos and breaks the clinch.

Pilar lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Pilar sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Banos sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Pilar finds the target with a jab.  
Pilar steps to the outside.  Banos feints a jab, tricking Pilar into throwing a left uppercut counter.  Banos is waiting for the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Pilar switches the action to the outside.  Banos attempts to land a jab, but Pilar slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Banos is on target with a weighty left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE PILAR WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Banos connects with a HUGE right hook.  PILAR IS DOWN!  HE IS UNABLE TO GET UP BEFORE THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Banos!
