Jack Nkrumah vs John Moloney

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at National Stadium, Dublin,  taking place on 18/12/2033:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Jack Nkrumah (3(3) - 0) who hails from Tamale, Ghana and John Moloney(6 - 3 - 1) from Dundalk, Ireland.  Both Nkrumah and Moloney weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mel Mohan, and the three ringside judges are Ronan Murphy, Joshua MacCarthy and Michael Dillon.  

Round 1: 

Nkrumah closes the distance.  Moloney pivots to the side of his opponent.  Nkrumah drives a right hook into Moloney's body.  
Nkrumah gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Nkrumah hits home with a right hook.  Nkrumah clinches his opponent.  Nkrumah pushes his forearm into Moloney's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Nkrumah about fouling.  
Nkrumah lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Nkrumah clinches his opponent.  Nkrumah leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Nkrumah lands a sharp jab.  
Nkrumah is looking to close the distance.  Nkrumah pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Moloney switches the action to the outside and attempts to land a cross, but Nkrumah slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Nkrumah advances into close range and connects with a left hook.  
Nkrumah lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Nkrumah clinches his opponent.  Nkrumah pushes his forearm into Moloney's face.  The referee warns Nkrumah and breaks the clinch.  
Nkrumah throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Nkrumah digs in a sharp left hook to Moloney's liver.  
Nkrumah steps inside.  Nkrumah quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Moloney lands a right hook.  Nkrumah ties up his opponent.  Nkrumah leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Nkrumah's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Nkrumah digs in a left uppercut to Moloney's liver.  
Nkrumah drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Moloney connects with a cross.  
Nkrumah lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Moloney throws a right uppercut, but Nkrumah clinches his opponent.  Nkrumah leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Nkrumah lands with a sharp jab.  
Nkrumah lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Nkrumah digs in a firm right hook to Moloney's ribcage.  Nkrumah clinches his opponent.  Nkrumah leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Nkrumah lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Nkrumah walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Nkrumah lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS MOLONEY TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Moloney quickly recovers.

Moloney throws a right hook, but Nkrumah ties up his opponent.  Nkrumah leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Moloney's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Moloney's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Moloney's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Moloney's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Nkrumah drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Nkrumah dabs at his face checking for damage.

Nkrumah forces Moloney to back into the ropes.  Nkrumah lands two left hooks followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Nkrumah advances into close range.  Moloney throws a right hook, but Nkrumah ties up his opponent.  Nkrumah is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Nkrumah to stop holding.

Nkrumah lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  Nkrumah throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Nkrumah senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Nkrumah whips in a nasty left hook to Moloney's body.  MOLONEY HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Moloney steps away from his opponent.  Nkrumah crashes a spiteful right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  MOLONEY IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Nkrumah lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND DOWN GOES MOLONEY!  He manages to get up at 5.  Moloney now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Nkrumah is looking to close the distance and drives a firm right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Nkrumah is on target with a stinging right hook.  Nkrumah ties up his opponent.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Nkrumah to stop holding.

Moloney is looking to keep his distance.  Nkrumah lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  Nkrumah attempts to land a jab, but Moloney slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Nkrumah lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Nkrumah forces Moloney to back into a neutral corner.  Nkrumah lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Nkrumah drives a solid left uppercut into his opponents body.  MOLONEY WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Nkrumah senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Moloney and just needs the right shot.  Nkrumah lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND MOLONEY IS KNOCKED DOWN!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Moloney can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Nkrumah!
