Chris Rankine vs Andy Cumby

Boxing Daily Report from the Phantom Fights promoted show at Toronto Littlejohn, Toronto,  taking place on 30/09/2033:

Clearly Phantom Fights have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Chris Rankine (2 - 0) who hails from Calgary, Canada and Andy Cumby(0 - 6 - 1) from Calgary, Canada.  Both Rankine and Cumby weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Blaise Nolton, and the three ringside judges are Michael Nickson, Noah Marr and Lionel Phillippe.  

Round 1: 

Rankine is looking to close the distance and connects with a firm left hook.  Rankine clinches his opponent.  Rankine pushes his forearm into Cumby's face.  The ref breaks Rankine's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Rankine digs in a sharp right uppercut to Cumby's body.  
Rankine lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Rankine pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Rankine closes the distance.  Rankine hits home with a left hook.  Rankine ties up his opponent.  Cumby leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Rankine goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Cumby time to recover.  
Cumby attempts to land a right uppercut, but Rankine slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Rankine digs in a left uppercut to Cumby's body.  
Cumby is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a cross, but Rankine slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Rankine closes the distance.  Rankine sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Rankine pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Rankine closes the distance.  Rankine pivots to the side of his opponent.  Rankine lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Rankine holds on to his opponent.  Rankine is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Rankine closes the distance.  Rankine pivots to the side of his opponent.  Rankine throws a left uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Rankine ties up his opponent.  Rankine is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Rankine pushes his forearm into Cumby's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Rankine about fouling.  
Rankine closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Rankine hits home with a solid left hook.  Rankine ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks Rankine's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Cumby wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Rankine dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Rankine throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps.  Rankine clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks Rankine's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Cumby quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Rankine is on target with a jab.  
Rankine steps inside.  Cumby throws a right hook, but Rankine clinches his opponent.  Rankine leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Rankine throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee warns Rankine and breaks the clinch.  
Rankine lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Rankine lands a left hook.  
Rankine sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Rankine steps away from his opponent.  Cumby tries to land a jab, but Rankine slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Rankine is looking to close the distance.  Rankine sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Rankine advances into close range.  Rankine pivots to the right of his opponent.  Cumby tries to land a left hook, but Rankine blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Rankine pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Cumby tries to keep the action at long range.  Rankine lands a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cumby's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Cumby's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Cumby's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
