Joe Marn vs Dale Jerden

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Maison du Citoyen, Gaineau,  taking place on 03/12/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joe Marn (12(6) - 1) who hails from Saskatoon, Canada and Dale Jerden(19 - 17(2) - 1) from Hamilton, Canada.  Both Marn and Jerden weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Erec Adore, and the three ringside judges are Paris Clarin, Aramis Duvauchelle and Ferrand Pradon.  

Round 1: 

Marn is looking to close the distance.  Marn sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He then lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  
Marn is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  Marn clinches his opponent.  Jerden is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Marn gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Marn lands a straight 1 - 2.  Marn attempts to land a jab, but Jerden slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Marn gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Marn lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Marn advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Marn closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Marn drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Marn connects with a right hook.  
Marn contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Jerden attempts to land a jab, but Marn blocks the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Marn lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Jerden manages to force Marn onto the ropes.  Marn finds the target with a jab.  
Jerden hits home with a right uppercut.  
Marn gets on the inside.  Marn quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Jerden's body.  
Marn forces Jerden to back into a neutral corner.  Marn whips in a spiteful right hook to Jerden's body.  JERDEN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Jerden almost instantly recovers. 
Marn sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Marn lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Marn gets on the inside and drives a right hook into Jerden's body.  
Marn lands a left uppercut to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  Marn holds on to his opponent.  Marn pushes his forearm into Jerden's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Marn about fouling.  
Marn is on target with a stinging jab.  
Marn advances into close range.  Marn sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Marn lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Marn clinches his opponent.  Marn uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Jerden's kidney. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Jerden's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Jerden throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Marn pivots from in front of his opponent and lands with a spiteful jab.  
Marn lands a cross, right uppercut and a cross to his opponents head.  
Marn gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Marn is on target with a jab.  
Marn closes the distance.  Marn quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Marn lands a firm right uppercut.  Marn tries to land a left uppercut, but Jerden dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Jerden attempts to land a right uppercut, but Marn dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Marn walks Jerden into the blue corner.  Marn lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Marn connects with a left hook.  
Marn is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Marn feints a jab, but Jerden is not fooled and lands with a right uppercut.  
Marn advances into close range and drives a stinging left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Marn advances into close range.  Marn sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Marn lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Marn tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands an overhand right followed by  two straights to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Marn is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Marn is on target with a big right uppercut.  JERDEN IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Marn lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head, AND SENDS JERDEN TO THE CANVAS!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Marn!
