Francisco Naves vs Joaquin Vara

Boxing Daily Report from the Bedwei Promotions promoted show at Fortaleza Amorim, Fortaleza,  taking place on 18/09/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Brazil-Ceara Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Francisco Naves (10 - 13(1) - 2) who hails from Fortaleza, Brazil and Joaquin Vara(12 - 24 - 5) from Fortaleza, Brazil.  Both Naves and Vara weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Seferino Patricio, and the three ringside judges are Juan Nicolau, Vegas Martha and Rico Vara.  

Round 1: 

Naves is looking to close the distance.  Vara pivots from in front of his opponent.  Vara throws a left hook, but Naves holds on to his opponent.  Vara is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Vara to stop fouling.

Vara tries to step out of his opponents range and tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.
