Mikio Hirabayashi vs Daichi Matsushita

Boxing Daily Report from the Pro boxing japan promoted show at Omori Gold Gym, Tokyo,  taking place on 30/08/2033:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Japan-Tokyo Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mikio Hirabayashi (8(1) - 0) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Daichi Matsushita(18 - 13(5) - 3) from Hachioji, Japan.  Both Hirabayashi and Matsushita weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Satoshi Fuse, and the three ringside judges are Yasushi Nakashima, Hisoka Enomoto and Isamu Kuno.  

Round 1: 

Hirabayashi pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Hirabayashi is on target with a cross.  
Hirabayashi digs in a stinging left uppercut to Matsushita's body.  
Hirabayashi steps away from his opponent and drives a jab into Matsushita's body.  
Hirabayashi pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Hirabayashi walks Matsushita down, trapping him on the ropes.  Hirabayashi digs in a solid right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Hirabayashi pivots to the side of his opponent.  Hirabayashi throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Hirabayashi pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He then lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Matsushita lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Hirabayashi closes the distance.  Hirabayashi pivots to the left of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to Matsushita's body.  
Hirabayashi steps to the outside and lands with a hard jab.  
Hirabayashi pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Hirabayashi gets on the inside.  Hirabayashi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Matsushita attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Hirabayashi's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Matsushita steps inside.  Hirabayashi pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Hirabayashi lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Hirabayashi manages to force Matsushita into a neutral corner.  Hirabayashi pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to Matsushita's ribs.  
Hirabayashi advances into close range.  Matsushita throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Hirabayashi pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Matsushita recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Hirabayashi lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Hirabayashi connects with a left hook.  
Hirabayashi is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
The right shot from Hirabayashi could be enough to force the stoppage!  Hirabayashi lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND KNOCKS MATSUSHITA DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  Matsushita now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Matsushita gets on the inside.  Hirabayashi pivots from in front of his opponent and lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Hirabayashi pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Hirabayashi sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Hirabayashi lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Hirabayashi is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Hirabayashi tries to step out of his opponents range.  Matsushita tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.

Hirabayashi sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Matsushita quickly recovers.

Hirabayashi manouvers his opponent into the red corner.  Hirabayashi lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Hirabayashi steps to the outside.  Matsushita tries to land an overhand right, but Hirabayashi sidesteps and counters with a stinging right hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Matsushita's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Matsushita's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Matsushita's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Some sustained pressure from Hirabayashi could be enough to finish Matsushita!  Hirabayashi lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS MATSUSHITA TO THE CANVAS!  The ref does not give Matsushita the chance to beat the count...The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Hirabayashi!
