Haru Panapa vs Noel Whigham

Boxing Daily Report from the Kiwi Boxing Academy promoted show at Waitakere Hollern, Waitakere,  taking place on 14/07/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Haru Panapa (17 - 11(2) - 3) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and Noel Whigham(15(2) - 0) from Waitakere, New Zealand.  Both Panapa and Whigham weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kieran Beynon, and the three ringside judges are Billy Nesmith, Matthew Chisholm and Chris Booth.  

Round 1: 

Whigham lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Whigham closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Whigham steps to the outside.  Panapa is on target with a cross.  
Panapa sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Whigham lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Panapa is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with an overhand left.  
Panapa lands an overhand right.  
Whigham pivots to the side of his opponent.  Panapa tries to land a left hook, but Whigham sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Panapa steps inside.  Whigham is on target with a right hook to Panapa's body.  
Whigham steps to the outside and tries to land a jab, but Panapa blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Panapa throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Panapa's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Panapa's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Panapa's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
