Garen Mauriac vs Barbabe Guimard

Boxing Daily Report from the Pacific and Andean Promotions promoted show at Palais de Congrés de Perpignan Auditorium C. Trénet, Perpignan,  taking place on 25/06/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Garen Mauriac (8(4) - 0) who hails from Villeurbanne, France and Barbabe Guimard(14 - 20(1) - 6) from Paris, France.  Both Mauriac and Guimard weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Orleans Jean-Baptiste, and the three ringside judges are Luc Christophe, Blaise Desnos and Orleans Jean-Baptiste.  

Round 1: 

Guimard closes the distance.  Mauriac lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Mauriac holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Mauriac pushes his forearm into Guimard's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mauriac about fouling.  
Guimard gets on the inside.  Mauriac quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Guimard throws a right hook, but Mauriac holds on to his opponent.  Mauriac leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mauriac is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Mauriac feints a right, and then lands a jab to the body, a cross to the head and a jab to the head.  
Mauriac steps away from his opponent and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Mauriac lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Mauriac strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Mauriac lands an overhand right to the head, a jab to the head and a jab to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Guimard recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mauriac lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Mauriac lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Guimard tries to land a jab, but Mauriac slips the shot and counters with a FEARSOME left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE GUIMARD WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Guimard cuts off the ring, trapping Mauriac on the ropes.  Mauriac is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Mauriac connects with a FEARSOME cross.  GUIMARD IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Guimard now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Mauriac is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Mauriac steps to the outside and lands a cross to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Mauriac lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Mauriac lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Mauriac lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Guimard almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Mauriac feints a left, and then lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Guimard advances into close range.  Mauriac lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Guimard is looking to close the distance and throws a right uppercut, but Mauriac ties up his opponent.  Guimard uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Mauriac behind the head. Guimard tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Mauriac's kidney. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mauriac lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Mauriac is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Guimard steps inside.  Mauriac drives a right uppercut into Guimard's ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Guimard's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Guimard's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Mauriac lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head, KNOCKING GUIMARD DOWN!  He manages to get up at 7.  Guimard recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Guimard is looking to close the distance.  Mauriac pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Guimard's body.  
Mauriac feints a right hook, and then lands a jab.  
Mauriac lands a stinging jab.  
Mauriac lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Mauriac is on target with a jab.  
Mauriac steps away from his opponent.  Mauriac feints a right hook, and then lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Guimard forces Mauriac to retreat onto the ropes.  Mauriac digs in a solid right hook to Guimard's body.  
Guimard is looking to close the distance.  Mauriac lands a left hook.  
Mauriac connects with a left uppercut.  
Mauriac tries to step out of his opponents range.  Mauriac sidesteps to the left of his opponent and DETONATES a FEROCIOUS overhand right on his opponents face.  GUIMARD HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Mauriac!
