Mike Malloch vs John Snoddy

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Christchurch Kareko, Christchurch,  taking place on 05/04/2033:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand-Canterbury Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mike Malloch (15 - 6 - 1) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and John Snoddy(16 - 11(3) - 4) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Malloch weighed in at 160 pounds, while Snoddy weighed in at 160 pounds And 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jonathan Lockaby, and the three ringside judges are Robert Lawman, Ian Fergerson and Clint Cattell.  

Round 1: 

Snoddy voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Malloch steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.
