Gethin Dennie vs John Rusk

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Oakland�Alameda County Coliseum, Oakland,  taking place on 18/05/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the North American Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Gethin Dennie (21(10) - 1 - 1) who hails from Cleveland, USA and John Razor Rusk(36(8) - 1(1) - 1 - 1(NC)) from Pembroke Pines, USA.  Dennie weighed in at 130 pounds, while Rusk weighed in at 129 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dillon Downey, and the three ringside judges are Billy Gracie, Sam Dunkin and Nick Erskin.  

Round 1: 

Dennie is on target with a solid jab.

Rusk steps inside.  Dennie throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.

Rusk cuts off the ring, trapping Dennie on the ropes.  Rusk tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a telling right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE RUSK WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Rusk recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Rusk advances into close range and tries to land a left hook, but Dennie slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Dennie steps away from his opponent.  Rusk throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.
