Ashley Peden vs Stuart Todd

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Australia-New South Wales promoted show at University of Newcastle Sports Hall, Newcastle,  taking place on 02/12/2032:

Clearly AI Australia-New South Wales have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Ashley Peden (2(2) - 0) who hails from Perth, Australia and Stuart Todd(1 - 1 - 1) from Gold Coast, Australia.  Peden weighed in at 130 pounds, while Todd weighed in at 129 pounds And 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dale Touch, and the three ringside judges are Hugh MacMaster, George McRae and Ian Vaughn.  

Round 1: 

Peden is looking to close the distance and digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  
Peden lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Peden is on target with a left hook.  Peden clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Peden pushes his forearm into Todd's face.  The ref breaks Peden's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Peden hits home with a stinging left hook.  Peden clinches his opponent.  Peden pushes his forearm into Todd's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Peden about fouling.  
Peden lands two left hooks followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Peden advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Peden holds on to his opponent.  Peden leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Todd pivots from in front of his opponent.  Peden lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Peden lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Peden walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Todd throws a left hook, but Peden clinches his opponent.  Peden is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Peden is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  
Peden digs in a solid left hook to Todd's liver.  
Todd attempts to land a cross, but Peden slips the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Peden advances into close range and hits home with a telling left uppercut.  TODD IS HURT!  Peden holds on to his opponent.  Peden is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Peden stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Peden lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the head, AND TODD IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  It looks like Todd has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Peden lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Peden lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Todd almost instantly recovers. 
Peden hits home with a right hook.  
Todd pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Peden digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  As Peden tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Todd.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Peden manouvers Todd onto the ropes.  Peden lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Peden lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Peden connects with a solid left hook.  
Peden lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Peden connects with a stinging right hook.  
Peden lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Peden pivots to the side of his opponent.  Peden lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  Peden holds on to his opponent.  Peden leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Peden's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Todd's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Todd's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Todd's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Round 2: 

Peden steps inside.  Todd sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Peden dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Peden.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Peden manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Peden sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Peden thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Todd away.  Peden lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS TODD!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Peden!
